How to brainwash yourself for success? | Five proven methods |

Have you ever thought about why you prefer junk food to vegetables? Do you ever wonder why binge-watching TV is so much simpler than reading a book? The answer may come as a surprise to you, but it's true: you've been brainwashed. Somewhere along the way, you discovered that self-sabotage is more pleasurable than success. You must brainwash yourself for success rather than self-destruction in order to achieve your full potential.

It may appear to be a silly idea, but it is not. There are those who like good habits and practices just as much as you do harmful ones. They are very distinct people who live and think in completely different ways. You can do it, too.

How Do We Become Brainwashed?

From the time we are in the womb, we are conditioned to think in specific ways. Your genes are definitely essential, but they aren't the primary consideration at this point. Your mother's stress, attitudes, and behaviors, believe it or not, are still shaping your outlook.

Then there's your formative years. From the ages of 0 to 7 your experiences were incredibly impactful. According to one study, the majority of your personality was formed by the time you entered first grade.

There's also the matter of your own choices. When you adopt a harmful habit, you are reinforcing the powerful neural pathways in your brain that drew you to it in the first place. In other words, every time you do something, you increase your chances of doing it again in the future.

Finally, there's the outside world, which is always hitting you with information and impulses.  To put it another way, you are always up against the impact of hundreds of agendas, all of which are attempting to entice you into making a decision that may not be in your best interests.

With all of this in mind, it's no surprise that so many of us get into poor habits and wish our instincts were different.

To Be Successful, You Must Brainwash Yourself.

The good news is as follows: Your brain is more adaptable than you may believe. It is possible to rewire it in maturity, with unpredictable outcomes. You can educate your brain to work with you rather than against you, regardless of your genetics, experiences, or personal decisions. For success, all you have to do is brainwash yourself.

How do you go about doing this? By tampering with your mind. I'll discuss some "hacks" that I think everybody who wants to rewire their brain should try. These are practices that can assist you in forming new associations and mental patterns.

But before I go into that, there are a few things you should know.

First and foremost, this will necessitate dedication. Your brain can be rewired, but it will fight you every step of the way. You must be determined to push over the discomfort and the inner voice telling you to compromise, take a day off, and so on. Don’t. Do not give up. If you don't give up, change will come.

Second, remember to be patient with yourself and avoid attempting to brainwash yourself for success in more than one or two areas at once. Keep in mind that even little adjustments can alter a whole trajectory. Don't underestimate the power of even the tiniest adjustment to create momentum in your life.

5 Ways to Persuade Yourself to Succeed.

I urge that you make each of these tips a habit. Start with one and add a new practice to your daily routine after around 21 days of doing the first. You can follow the steps in the order I've stated, or you can go in whatever order you like.

Gratitude Journaling is the first hack.

Every day, I recommend writing down 5-10 things for which you are grateful. This simple gesture, especially if you write down a few phrases about why you're grateful for each item, can do wonders for your mood.

Savoring is the second hack.

Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and relish the emotion you feel whenever you have a great encounter. Play the triumph over and over in your head. Keep your focus there for as long as you can. This will help you grow your brain's pleasure regions, which will boost your happiness. You're less inclined to engage in self-destructive behavior if you're more positive.

Deep Breathing is the third hack.

When you're worried, you're more inclined to fall into undesirable behaviors and addictions. Deep breathing is one method for reducing stress. This is how it goes. Stop what you're doing and close your eyes whenever you're stressed. Inhale deeply through your nose, then exhale slowly for six seconds. When you breathe in, make sure to breathe into your gut rather than your chest so that your belly expands. Repeat for up to 10 minutes, or until you feel at ease. This may take some effort, but it will improve your capacity to catch your thoughts and self-soothe dramatically.

Visualization is the fourth hack.

Your brain isn't very excellent at distinguishing between fiction and reality. The good news is that you can turn this to your advantage. Your brain will genuinely believe it's happening if you visualize a happy scenario in as much detail as possible. You may educate your brain to be happier, more optimistic, and more energetic by remembering a great experience or envisioning a desired outcome for 10-15 minutes each day.

Positive Declarations is the fifth hack.

I honestly believe that focusing on what you say to yourself will help you overcome the lies you believe are holding you back. Saying positive words out loud to yourself is the simplest approach I know of to think better thoughts.

Make positive "I am" affirmations to increase your self-esteem (for example, "I am courageous," "I am gorgeous," "I am energetic," and so on). You can also make assertions regarding your situation ("I am affluent," "I am well-known," and so on). Don't be concerned if their assertions appear to contradict your reality. That makes it all the more important to say them! You will deceive your brain into believing that the desired consequence has already occurred. This will really increase your chances of achieving your goal and acting in a constructive manner.
